June 21st, Make Music Day

With our "Make Music Türkiye" organization, we represented Türkiye even better this year on Make Music Day, bringing the joy of music to unite music lovers once again.

Here’s what we did this year:

• In the global online choir project "Taking Flight"—supported by MSG—Türkiye was represented among eight other countries by the “Ladies & Gentlemen Choir” under the direction of Çelik Kasapoğlu, with their ArtPoint performances. Details >>

• With the support of Kadıköy Municipality and Müyorbir, we organized an open stage event in front of Süreyya Opera House, welcoming musicians of all levels—professional or amateur—without distinction. Details >>

• In collaboration with Üsküdar Municipality, we set up stages in four different locations across Üsküdar.

• Primary schools from Türkiye joined the global "Make Music, Make Friends" song-sharing project for the second time this year. Details >>

• Musicians from Türkiye took part for the fourth time in the "My Song is Your Song" global song exchange. Details >>

• Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) also celebrated World Music Day with various concerts and music events.
